What Can A Visual Problem Solver Do For You?

What can a visual problem solver do for you?

While in Paris there was a design I saw at the Paris Saint-Germain soccer shop that's making me kick myself because I didn't take a picture of it. I figured it would be online. It's not. It can't be found either in the PSG shop here in NYC.

So what I decide to do speaks directly to my skill set as a visual problem solver. I can’t find what I’m looking for, so I created it myself. This is a common theme in my work and what makes me and other graphic designers unique. We don't give up and create that which does not exist, or at least that which is not attainable through other means. A big advantage to this approach is then having the rights to the new graphic (provided of course there is not copyright infringement). I’m not paying Canva as a service to have access to all their graphic stickers. I have not seen anything I need that badly, or, if I did, I could just pull out my iPad to draw it or jump on Illustrator to create it myself. So I save money. And that means I save my clients money.

So what was I looking for?

It was a bubble graffiti styled Eiffel Tower-shaped balloon. It was on a pink bucket hat. It would have made a great keychain, T-shirt etc.

I recreated it. I used a combo of Photoshop and Illustrator 3D tools and came up with a pretty fun design…it's still not as cool as the one in the PSG shop, but it inspired me to make something new for my graphics library. I could do the same with The Tower of Pisa or The Golden Gate Bridge, or anything really that doesn't infringe on a copyright.

I’m a visual problem-solver.

August is a great month to get marketing materials done for a Fall push. Schedule a call with me if you want to talk about any design work you need done.
