Julien McNab started his professional career working as a bar/restaurant manager in Seville, Spain, then traded servings of sangria and sausages for spreadsheets and status reports when he went into advertising in New York City. He then took a ride on the .com bubble and landed at Cablevision, where he helped launch muchmusic usa's website, later to become Fuse tv. At Fuse he gained wide experience in the world of digital media, from scoping out, launching, and maintaining web properties to establishing content and paid partnerships to running a then-first daily sms- and web-to-tv music video viewer request show. Julien continued working in the music industry, going from MTV Networks to Blender Magazine and then landing at A+E where he was a senior producer for Biography.com, helping it evolve and grow during a period of transformation. Continuing in non-fiction and pursuing a personal passion of his Julien was recruited by Discovery to run the Military Channel's digital operations, building up the channel's audience online while helping to launch Investigation Discovery's award-winning True Crime blog CrimeFeed. Over the course of 10 years at Discovery Julien worked on several different networks in different capacities, from building out websites to executing client partnerships to establishing analytics reports to establishing social media strategies. Pattie is always chasing the simple to calm her busy mind. She believes making things simple is hard and to achieve this you must exercise self control — mental and physical.
Growing up as the middle daughter of a career Army officer, Pattie McNab was exposed to diverse military environments in the U.S. and Germany, fostering qualities of discipline, professionalism, reliability, and teamwork that shape her work ethic.
She pursued visual communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in Graphic Design, Photojournalism, and New Media during a time when software like Flash and Director were prominent (now Adobe Animate). Her career trajectory led to roles such as National Desk Photo Editor at The Associated Press and later Senior Photo Editor at Getty Images, where she collaborated closely with conflict photographers globally to amplify the impact of their stories. This involved coordinating with sales teams and clients worldwide to elevate the value of visual storytelling.
As a boutique brand identity firm, Teal Studio arose from extensive experience in marketing, web, and print design, gained through consulting for small businesses to enhance their visual marketing strategies. Driven by passion for visual communication and storytelling, Pattie is committed to providing top-tier work for clients in an open 1:1 collaborative manner. Every project is given 110%.
